Chapter 4
Saturday morning he was up swimming laps and exercising. He finished and looked at the clock and it was almost noon. He stared getting dressed and headed to the garage and hit the switch and noticed two of his old cars were joined with four new bad new ones. He walked over to the yellow Ferrari and hit the remote. That would be the car for the day he pulled up at the church and pulled on the side. He walked in the church and heard his mom’s voice giving orders to Mac. He walked up behind them. “Guess who is home?”
Pauline turned around and hugged her son tight. “Home for good?”
“I’m home free and clear mom.” He hugged Mac and looked at the groom “man you look a little nervous?”
Then he felt his mom pull his hand up “where is your wife? The one I have never met and I hear I have a grandson too.”
“I promise I will be getting you to your grandson soon let’s get your second son married off and then we will talk.”
Mac shook his head he had seen Miss P looking at him. “Come on best man let’s get you dressed. Norene is going to be excited to see you.”
He told Mac he had to run to his car and he would be right back. He walked out the front door and ran into Tia and stopped. “Tia.”
Tia was hopping that voice did not belong to Jai. She turned around and looked at him in the designer black tux with the white shirt and bright yellow tie. He was absolutely gorgeous standing there. “Jai.” Then she looked at his left hand that displayed a gold band and she stepped back.
He saw a man approaching and grabbed her hand. “Babe are you’re ready to go in?”
“Yes.” Tia turned around quick.
Jai looked at the dude and shook his head. Tia and Norene had stayed friends. He walked to his car and got his cell walked back in and watched Tia sit down next to Mr. Professional. He could tell the man did something for a living and his proper talking ass. He walked in the back room and Mac told him it was time.
Mac handed him the designer sunglasses and they walked in the church and took a place on the alter.
Jai stole a glimpses of Tia every chance he could and thanked Mac for the sunglasses. He patted Mac on the back and then they saw Norene smiling. Her dress was beautiful in white and yellow accents. She walked up and smiled.
They had arrived at the reception and it was beautiful with the swan and yellow ice sculpture. Mac walked over and whispered “you are staring a hole through her.”
“Man is it that obvious?”
“Yes, your glasses have been tuned to her since you stepped in the church.”
“Man the photographer is calling us.” They started walking over and he posed for the pictures. Then Norene grabbed him.
“Thank you for making it.”
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world unless I was dead sweetheart.
